WHAT’S INVOLVED?

Organizing a fund raising auction for the benefit of your organization does take time, energy and planning. The key tasks are merchandise acquisition, advertising , promotion and sale management.  Our Auction Planner describes these in detail.

  HOW DO WE PROFIT?

  The profits from a Charity Auction flow from several sources.  The main income is generated from the fast paced live auction sale of donated goods. We recommend limiting the number of items (lots), depending on the size of the facility and expected audience.  A second source is the pre-auction table sale of items donated but not of high enough value to be placed into the auction.  A third source of income can be derived from admission sales to the auction.  A fourth source is the sale of tickets to the preview party held the night before the auction date.  A fifth method is toe sell raffle tickets and a  sixth method is by placing a buyers premium on the item sold.

A number of proven combinations are available to make your auction fun and successful.

WHAT ARE THE COSTS?

  The costs of an auction are fixed and variable.  Fixed costs are facility rental, security, printing and paid advertising.
